Capo d’Orlando Marina: The launch of the accommodation facility

The tourist port of Capo d’Orlando is enriched with a further qualified service with the opening of the new 4-star classified accommodation facility, called “Sestante Marina Motel”. The complex consists of 13 rooms including two very high level suites, for a total of 28 beds.

It is the only marina in Sicily to be equipped with hotel accommodation services. Another record achieved after the tourist port of Capo d’Orlando last year was the first regional port to obtain the blue flag, a recognition which has also been confirmed for the year 2022.

The opening of the Sestante Marina Motel is one of the objectives of the new industrial plan approved last March by the company, which through further significant investments has the ambition of providing the tourist port with services that will further raise its standing, through interventions ranging from digitalisation of services, energy efficiency, optimization of waste management and the safety of both staff and infrastructure.

The positive growth trend, both in the annual employment rate and in the average tonnage of boats, is an indicator of the marina’s increasingly high positioning in the panorama of the offer of tourist port services, both in the regional and national context.

The further objective will be to constitute a sort of hinge between the Aeolian Islands and the beauty of the internal areas of the Nebrodi, becoming a driving force for the quality tourism development of the entire territory and stimulating the growth of services directly or indirectly related to tourism .

This is demonstrated by the numerous commercial and service activities that currently operate within the infrastructure or that benefit from the economic benefits associated with it.

The inauguration of the new accommodation facility will be held tomorrow 14 August at 6.30 pm. Following this, as part of a short ceremony, the 2022 blue flag will be hoisted, which was delivered by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), a non-profit non-governmental organisation.

The Board of Directors of the Company expresses, on behalf of the Members, the Collegial Bodies and the Staff, its satisfaction with the new results achieved, in sharing with those who, over the course of these years, since the inauguration of the port and, even before, they made it possible.
