In Capo d’Orlando, on the largest island in the Mediterranean and a few miles away from the Aeolian Islands, the VELA Cup Sicilia will take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October. The location is perfect, the Marina di Capo D’Orlando is located in a unique position, a few steps from the delightful town and enchanting beaches. The Marina offers foreign boats, which come from “outside”, free mooring. An excellent idea is to use Capo D’Orlando as a starting point for a visit to the Aeolian Islands in a less crowded period. The Sicilian coast is no exception, Cefalù is just a few miles away! The regatta takes place on a fascinating coastal route and lasts no more than four hours.

- WHERE AND WHEN Saturday 7 October in Marina di Capo d’Orlando.
- WHO CAN PARTICIPATE Any type of boat starting from 4 meters, no certificate is required. Whoever arrives first wins, with divisions by homogeneous length classes, “cruise” and “regatta” categories.
- FREE MOORINGS The Marina di Capo d’Orlando offers free mooring for 7 days to boats coming from outside the area + 7 days 30% discount.
- DURATION AND ROUTE The “Regatta” lasts no more than three/four hours. The route is coastal.
- THE CREWS You don’t need to be an expert sailor to participate.
- PRIZES The first in each class in the “Cruising Boat” and “Sport Boat” categories are awarded and from this year, for boats over 25 years old, there is a special “Classic Boat” award. The overall winner on corrected time, among all the participants, wins the VELA Cup Sicilia Trophy. Prize draw for everyone!
