June 13 – Stars of Cinema – Troisi Award

The stars of Cinema land at the Marina of Capo d’Orlando, which this year will host the preview evening of the 13th edition of the Marefestival Salina Premio Troisi (June 14/16 on the Aeolian island): appointment on Thursday, June 13 at 6. 30 in the meeting room of the Sestante Marina Motel, inside the port, for the opening press conference, in the presence of the president of the Board of Directors, architect Giuseppe Mangano, godmother Maria Grazia Cucinotta, actresses Barbara Bouchet and Francesca Inaudi, producer Corrado Azzollini, Premi Troisi 2024, artistic director, journalist Massimiliano Cavaleri and host, journalist Nadia La Malfa.

“With great pleasure and enthusiasm we will welcome the preview of such a prestigious festival full of guests and content,” explains President Mangano, “the Troisi Award is one of the most anticipated events in the Aeolian archipelago, and for our boaters, as well as for the inhabitants of Capo d’Orlando, it will be particularly interesting to participate and get to know this event closely.

Barbara Bouchet, one of the most appreciated actresses of the first generation of the so-called Italian-style sexy comedy, which had great resonance in the late 1970s and early 1980s, has made more than 80 films and many TV dramas, remaining an icon of beauty and style ever since; her most recent performance is in the role of Countess Wiendemar in “Diabolik – chi sei?” (2023), signed by Manetti Bros.

Francesca Inaudi began at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan directed by Giorgio Strehler and Luca Ronconi, in 2004 she made her film debut and since then she has starred in numerous films directed by important directors including Cristina Comencini, Paolo Virzì, Mario Martone and is present in international productions; in 2023 Liliana Cavani wants her among the leads in “L’ordine del tempo”.

The evening, with free admission, will continue at 7:30 p.m. on the Sestante Terrace, where there will be a presentation of the historical novel “Il Grano nero,” published by Scatole Parlanti (2024) and written by Ignazio Rosato, TV author, screenwriter and writer: the envoy of the TV Show “Le Iene” Fabio Agnello will dialogue with him.

At 8:30 p.m. the screening of the comedy-drama “Gli agnelli possono pascolare in pace” (Draka Production, Italy 2024) by Beppe Cino, which invites reflection on the theme of “borders,” starring Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Massimo Venturiello, Tiziana Schiavarelli and Umberto Sardella. After the film and a discussion with the protagonist and producer, the show presented by Cavaleri and La Malfa will begin, with interviews with the guests and the presentation of the Troisi Award to Corrado Azzolini, who will talk about his next ambitious projects.

Finally, the Panathlon Special Award “Sport illuminates the film of life” that Ludovico Magaudda, vice governor Area 9 Sicily of Panathlon International, and Nino La Rosa President of the Club of Messina, will present to Marzia and Gianni Raineri. The welcome cocktail will be provided by Oli Barbera, Polara Beverages and Acqua Mangiatorella.
